Teams from the Tohono O ‘odham Nation Sells, AZ and Ketty’s House, Dominican Republic are home. THANK YOU-UBC family for prayerfully and financially serving as
senders and sending these teams. On Commissioning Sunday we as their
sending church family agreed to intercede with our prayers while they were gone
and maintain interest in the task that was completed through the power of the
Holy Spirit, upon their return. MARK YOUR CALENDARS-MAY 19th at 1 p.m.

Resided in Union Bridge, MD
Mr. Ronald David Brown, 67, of Union Bridge, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home. Born March 23, 1946 in New Windsor, he was the son of the late Karl Bankard Brown and Louise Catherine Smith Brown. He was the husband of Erma Catherine Farver Brown. They would have celebrated their 45th anniversary in June. Mr. Brown was a 1964 graduate of Westminster High School. He had worked in carpentry, then as a dairy farmer in the Frederick area for 10 years, and retired as an independent truck driver, hauling into Lehigh Cement Company for KBS of Thomasville, PA and later with DDS of Baltimore, hauling coast to coast. He was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, Westminster, where he had sang in the choir for a short time. Ronnie enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, boating, crabbing, and eating crabs. He was a car enthusiast. He loved to tell stories and laugh, and spend time with his family. He loved spending time with his dog “Gretchen” who rode with him while trucking, and his new puppy, “Lucy”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Angela Lynn Arnold and husband, Ed, and Ronald D. Brown Jr., all of Union Bridge; grandsons, Nathan Brown, and Ryan, Kyle, Evan and Mason Arnold; sister, Donna Rucker and husband, Pat of Upperco; nephews, Scott and Charlie Mehring; and aunt, Regina Gassman and husband, Russell of Finksburg. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Larry Karl Brown. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge on Friday, April 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, with Rev. Tom Richard, his pastor, and Rev. Paul N. Leatherman Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.

In memory of Mrs. Dottie Fritz, a funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, at 11:00am, at Uniontown Bible Church. Private interment will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Uniontown. There will be no visitation.

Good Friday Services, March 29th, 7pm, no childcare provided. This is a joint service of some of the local churches. Come out to worship together and celebrate the Cross. Join us at Westminster Baptist Church, 345 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD.
Easter Sunday, March 31st, services are at 9:15 and 11:00am, both services are the same and child care is provided. If you do not have a church home you are welcome to join us in the celebration of Jesus, our risen Lord! Jesus is what we are all about here at UBC!
